Description
Jean-Baptiste Cordonnier studied at the University of Gembloux (Liège) where he obtained a degree in agricultural engineering specialising in water and forestry. Jean-Baptiste continued his training in tropical forest ecology in Guinea, then worked as a volunteer and teacher in Congo Brazzaville before joining Château Anthonic in September 1993. Since 2011, it is the first Médoc estate to have embarked on a large-scale agroforestry project. In 2018, Jean-Baptiste seized the opportunity to acquire a forest estate, Forêt de Fachan, in Ariège. This Ariège valley inspired him to write a book. (H)êtres, a story published by le Pas d'Oiseau in April 2021. It was also in 2018 that he founded the Vignerons du Vivant, an organic training course to attract young people in difficulty to the vineyard professions.
