Gilles Bœuf is a biologist and teacher at the Pierre-et-Marie Curie University. His predilection area is biodiversity, his work mainly focuses on environmental physiology and biodiversity. He is a world known expert in oceanology and biodiversity as a result, he is the President of the scientific council of the French Agency for Biodiversity. He was also elected in January 2013 Director of The Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES). He will strongly help us ensure the scientific content validity of the forum.
