Presentation

Trinity AgTech provides farmers and land managers with Sandy, a software-as-a-service platform to assess their environmental progress and achieve their productivity and profitability goals. As part of the services provided by Sandy, users are supported in exploring a range of mitigation strategies to reduce their carbon footprint, improve biodiversity, protect water and do agroforestry planning. Users can also generate carbon credits and biodiversity tokens in line with the superstandard developed by Trinity Natural Capital Markets, the sister company of Trinity AgTech. Trinity Natural Capital Markets also facilitates trusted transactions between sellers and buyers of Trinity carbon credits and biodiversity tokens through its own trading platform and registry. Solution The primary sector is being disrupted by consumers, grocers, governments, and banks demanding sustainable practices. Government subsidies will be directed towards sustainability, grocers require sustainability labelling and banks need to manage the climate risk of their lending portfolio. Consequently, decision making needs to manage for sustainability, financial resilience and provenance. The current software offering is fragmented across separate accounting, carbon calculation and farm management tools. Often the science and technology of the last two are outdated. Trinity AgTech and Trinity Natural Capital Markets offer an integrated solution to maximise natural capital gains and to facilitate dialogue between farmers, land managers, banks, cooperatives, retailers, supermarkets, food assurance agencies and governments. Trinity’s digital solution is vertically integrated across the different stages of the sustainability value chain: carbon credits and biodiversity tokens methodology, carbon quantification, monitoring, reporting, and trading. Key advantages Unaffiliated and unbiased. Tier 2 and tier 3 refinements to the latest science (IPCC 2019). Coverage: all farm sizes and all levels of technology sophistication; land uses: croplands, grasslands, peatlands and woodlands; enterprises: arable, horticulture, perennials, livestock (beef, dairy, pigs, eggs, sheep, etc.), waste management (anaerobic digestion plants, biochar, etc.), glasshouses, packhouses, transport, etc. Offering the lowest cost across project development (no intermidiaries) and MRV (pre-verification, controls and bundling). Tailored mitigation practices; following both a practices and an outcomes based approach; flexible timing to implement adaptation plan; inclusive of any type of ownership status: landowners, tenant farmers, and partnerships. Crediting: spot, forward & early action contracts; reduction, removal & retention credits; following high quality standards in line with ISO, TSVCM, VCMI, SBTi and IC; robust framework to manage events of default, illegalities, carbon reversals and force majeure events.
